Tales to Astonish (1959) #35 is the return of the Ant-Man!
This issue was great! I am a huge fan of the current Ant-Man so going back to the original one was fun. Hank Pym learned to communicate with ants and used them to help fight terrorists! An army of ants might not seem like that big of a deal, but they are effective. Though, I am really curious about the honey?
But Ant-Man wasn’t the only story in this issue. The Doorway to Nowhere and The Thing from Outer Space were fun, quirky reads that I flew through. Strange Encounter was also featured in this issue, without any graphics. This is the first story I’ve come across that doesn’t have any illustrations that go with it.
This is also the first issue I’ve read that Stan Lee was not one of the writers for. I wondered how different it was going to be, but like I said, I really enjoyed this issue.
