2019: My Year in Review

2019 was a crazy year for me, but I love spending a few days towards the end of the year looking back on all the year had to offer. I looked at where I was last year around this time and realized I am a completely different person, in a completely different place.

I Read 123 Books.

5 Stars = 26
4 Stars = 48
3 Stars = 48
2 Stars = 1
1 Stars = 0

I Read 7 Graphic Novels.

5 Stars = 2
4 Stars = 4
3 Stars = 1
2 Stars = 0
1 Stars = 0

I Read 30 Comics

My Favorite Reads of the Year are:

Serpent & Dove by Shebly Mahurin
Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
Wicked King by Holly Black
Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco (WHOLE SERIES)

My Favorite Memories from this Year:

Seeing my family for the first time in three years
My first night in my very own apartment
Going to Disney with one of my best friends
Going on a road trip with my sister
Thanksmas – A day where my whole family gets together and celebrates

Things that Happened:

I attended a Harry Potter Ball
I moved from Japan back to the States
I started working at the family business
I traveled up to Virginia for two weeks
I turned 24
I rekindled my relationships with certain members of my family
I went to two book signings and met some awesome authors
I lost a little weight, but it made the world of difference
I got a second job that I absolutely love

Things I Accomplished:

I finished the third draft of SaS
I finished the first draft of SoG
I hit my yearly reading goal of 100 books

I am so thankful for all the challenges I faced and all the little moments I had this year. I can’t wait to see what 2020 has to offer.

What was the best part of 2019 for you? What was the best book you read this year? Did anything exciting happen? What did you accomplish this year?

  1. Jealous of your good star ratings. I’ll be finishing an audio book tomorrow that, when it gets reviewed is getting a 2 star. And the same can be said for an ARC I’m currently reading. That’s twice the amount of 2 star books in a week than you had all year 😥
