Fantastic Four (1961) #12 is an exciting issue that features a crossover between the Fantastic Four and the Hulk! I was really looking forward to this issue because I wanted to see the Thing and Hulk fight. It was going to be epic!

And while their battle was really cool the rest of the issue was a little of a letdown. There was so much going on behind the scenes that there wasn’t as much action as I expected. I wanted Thing and Hulk to team up once their battle was done, but they didn’t. That might happen in the future, but I don’t want to wait!

Also, the Wrecker was a very weak villain and catching him was way too easy. He was a scientist that created a robot. He didn’t do anything and he barely put up a fight. It was very anti-climatic.

There was also a sexist comment about Sue in this comic. They pretty much said the only thing she was useful for is keeping up morale. That comment put a sour taste in my mouth. I know comments like that were much more common back then, but it was not fun to read.

Overall, this issue was a letdown. I wanted a lot more from this crossover.
