Fantastic Four (1961) #15 shows the Fantastic Four going their separate ways.
I have really mixed feelings about this issue. I loved the concept behind it. I can definitely understand why everyone wanted to get away from the crazy life they live. I loved that they all started to miss their family and their life and returned to each other. I even thought the Thinker was a cool villain.
I think the part that disappointed me the most was the Android. It is on the cover and I thought it was going to be a lot cooler than it was. The cover had more action than the rest of the issue. (Okay. That might be an exaggeration, but that’s how it felt!)
Reed is supposed to be extremely smart right? He invents all these awesome weapons and he was the one to save the day in the end, but he lacks common sense. How in the world did he fall for this trick? They are put on high alert right before they all get these awesome opportunities that make them leave the city. Don’t you think he should have put the pieces together?
Well, it was a fun issue and was a few pages shorter than I am used to.
