Witness the birth of the Jade Giant! The Hulk is the strangest man alive. Is he man or monster…or both? (Synopsis from Marvel.com)

Writer: Stan Lee

Illustrator: Jack Kirby

Published: May 1, 1962

Incredible Hulk (1962) #1 was the first appearance of Dr. Bruce Banner and the Incredible Hulk. It is so different than the story that I already know, but I really enjoyed it. I liked that it was different. The Hulk in this comic is completely different from the popular known Hulk and how he shifts and behaves. He even had a little sidekick!

The color of Hulk seemed to change between the various panels. In some panels, he was gray, while he was green in others. I think that was the most disappointing part of this read. I don’t know why they couldn’t keep it consistent.

I didn’t see as much of Banner as I would have liked. It was a little cheesy, but that didn’t bother me in the slightest. I look forward to seeing what is going to happen next.
